The Menu Bar Explained

The menu bar is always located along the top of the screen when you have Kami open. 

Kami Account

There are three different types of Kami accounts: Basic (free), Premium, and Work. Your type of account will be stated on the left-hand side of the bar. If you want to know more about the differences in accounts, click here.

Toggle Sidebar

Clicking this will enable you to view and quickly select different pages from a PDF with multiple pages.  

Find in Document

When you click the Find in Document icon, a drop down box will appear with a search bar. Here you can type a word or phrase, and Kami will recognise every time in the document that word or phrase is present. You can also select to highlight all. 

Zoom Bar

You can zoom in and out manually by clicking the plus or minus symbol, or click the 100% button to zoom in on out by 25%

 Open File From

When you click this button, you will be presented with a drop-down menu, which shows different locations in which you can open a file from, as well as a list of recent files, and tracked copies. Once you open a file, a few more options are added to the toolbar. 

Menu Share

By Clicking this button, you will be prompted to a pop-up window that will show different sharing options. You can share your document with a direct link, that you can tweet or share on Facebook, you can also check your link sharing and annotation settings, as well as view who can annotate on this file. 

Print Document

Click this button to print your document. You can choose to print the original document, the document with annotations on top, or document with annotations on the side.  

 Kami Cloud Sync

Every time you make an annotation, the Kami Cloud Sync will rotate. This shows that the annotation is temporarily backed up. 

Export File

Once this button is clicked, you will be presented with a pop-up with a selection of different options. With Kami you can export directly to your computer or Google Drive. 


Clicking the Tools button will prompt a drop-down menu with a variety of different options such as jump to page, rotate, two page view, and sign. 


The profile button will usually be your initials unless you have added your own profile picture, or a question mark if you are a guest user. If you ever need to access your settings to log out, or any other reason, this is the way to get there.
